What grasses can PGF Complete be applied to?
PGF Complete™ can be used on ANY LAWN. Warm and cool season. Bermuda, Zoysia, Fescue, Centipede*, Rye grass, St Augustine, etc. Why a 4-1-2 ratio? Because that is the ratio that is recommended by most research and plant tissue testing. *When applying to centipede lawns, apply at 1/2 the normal rate. So one bag will cover 10,000 sq ft.
What is the application rate?
One bag will cover 5000 sq feet. During the summer months, apply to fescue and cool season lawns at a 75% rate. So instead of one bag covering 5000 sq ft, it will now cover 6500 – 7000 sq ft. This MILD fescue summer treatment will give your cool season lawn nutrients without causing excess stress. When applying to centipede lawns, apply at 1/2 the normal rate. So one bag will cover 10,000 sq ft.
How often can I apply PGF Complete?
It’s a little complicated so follow along… PGF Complete™ will slowly feed for up to 8 weeks. However, since it’s mild, it can be applied every 4-6 weeks if desired. Example: If a “normal” fertilizer puts down one pound of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft, your PGF Complete is putting down approx .58 pounds. So it can be applied more frequently if desired. The best feeding methods for lawns is to put down LESS fertilizer… more often. This avoids nitrogen RUSHES which can burn lawns and cause growth cycle surges. In-between applications apply Super Juice in the 7-1-2 ratio every 1-2 weeks.
Can it be used in the summer?
Yes, our testing has shown no “added burn issues” that would not normally occur. i.e. if you don’t water your lawn at all during a drought, your lawn will BURN with or without fertilizer. The slow release properties plus the mild formula helps prevent BURN.
Can it be used with Super Juice spray?
Yes, and we encourage it. Once applied, spray SUPER JUICE every 2-3 weeks.
Can it be used on NEW sod or newly seeded?
Yes, apply at a slightly reduced rate. Maybe 6000 sq ft per bag. It works AMAZING on new plantings because unlike STRONG 30-0-0 types, it’s gentle and give s full and proper nutrition.
